| Mobile Data Transmision |
 M2M is typically seen as an industrial application. However the same products (or derivatives) can be used to connect consumers and their PC's over a cellular network.
Data communications can be via 3G/NextG or GPRS. Products we supply for consumer data applications include:
- Modems for internet and email, connecting to the PC either via a serial cable or USB connection or Ethernet
- Modems to send and receive SMS to a PC
- Ethernet modems for primary or back-up data services
Data speeds are rising on cellular networks and the 3G cellular networks can offer data throughput speeds equal to ADSL.
The combination of high data speeds over cellular networks and controlled costs allows consumers to surf the net and read email wherever they are, not tied to a phone line at home or in the office. |
